Askennonia Ladies Helping Clean Our Community!
It might look like the Askennonia Senior Centre Thursday morning "Walking with Lise" stopped on their way to do a little grocery shopping on April 24, but that's not the case. This group decided to take shopping bags along with them on their hour walk about town and to make a concerted effort to collect litter along the way. Way to go, ladies.

Askennonia MS Walk 2008 Team Betters Last Year's Donations
It was a great day for a walk on April 13, 2008, especially since this group of Askennonia members, along with Midland Mayor Jim Downer, raised of $1700 to help find a cure for MS. This is the fourth year that Team Askennonia Captain Marion Carduff has encouraged participation and the first year that Mayor Jim Downer joined our team. He's a good sport!
