Askennonia Senior Centre and Midland’s Winterfest were pleased introduce Cindy Thompson on stage to celebrate Midland’s 25th Winterfest on Saturday, February 6.
Cindy’s electrifying performances have earned her a reputation as one of Canada’s premiere combination fiddle player/stepdancers. There was something for everyone in Cindy show, as she draws from Scottish, Irish, Cajun, Country, French Canadian, Bluegrass and Old Time fiddle styles. Her two CD’s, “Through the Gates” and “I Can Feel it in the Air” are still receiving great reviews and Cindy is enjoying a career that has taken her to stages across North America for over 30 years. Performing with Cindy were be her husband Ross Butineau on guitar and their son Jake Butineau on keyboards, two very talented musicians!
