VITAMIN D3 - ARE WE GETTING ENOUGH?

The following article is brought to you by the Falls Prevention Subcommittee of Safe Communities Midland

Discussion about the benefits of Vitamin D3 is on the rise. It is well-known as a crucial factor in calcium absorption (increasing it by 30 to 80 percent), so we know that vitamin D is critical to good bone health. Tim Hortons Sponsors Askennonia Walking Group

Tim Hortons has kindly donated fanny packs to members of our walking group. They meet Thursday mornings at 9:30 am for a one hour walk about town, geared to accomodate participants of all levels. Some walk faster and further than others, and there is no pressure to 'keep up'. New walkers take the shorter or less demanding route. Thanks to Lise Pyburn and Edith Bell for leading this group. The fanny packs will come in very handy to carry the walkie talkies, cell phones and water bottles that tag along on every walk. Thanks Tim Hortons!
